Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and SelfApp Labs ("we", "us"), the maker of ourfocus. By creating an account or using the app you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your data.

1. Who can use ourfocus

• You must be at least 18 years old, because sessions involve live video with other adults.
• You need one account, with accurate details, and you're responsible for keeping your login safe.
• You can't use ourfocus if we've previously removed your account for breaking these terms.

2. Focus sessions with other people

ourfocus matches you with another person for a 50-minute video session. To keep it a good place to work, you agree to:

• Be respectful. No harassment, threats, hate, discrimination or bullying.
• Keep it work-appropriate. No nudity, sexual content, violence or illegal activity on camera or in conversation.
• Never record, screenshot or share another person's video, audio or details without their consent.
• Not use sessions to sell, advertise, recruit or collect people's contact details.
• Not try to break, overload, reverse-engineer or get around the app's limits and safety features.

You can block or report anyone from the session screen. We review reports and may warn, limit, suspend or remove accounts that break these rules, without notice where safety requires it. Other users are not our employees, and we can't guarantee how they behave, but we act on reports.

3. Foki, the AI focus partner

• Foki is an AI, not a person. It's there for short check-ins during a session.
• AI replies can be wrong or unsuitable. Foki doesn't give professional, medical, mental-health, legal or financial advice; don't rely on it for that.
• Don't use Foki to produce harmful or unlawful content.

4. Free plan and Premium

• The free plan includes 3 sessions a week. Premium removes the weekly limit.
• Premium is a subscription sold through Google Play, monthly or yearly. The price is shown in the app before you buy, and Google Play handles the payment.
• It renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. Cancel any time in Google Play: Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → ourfocus. You keep Premium until the end of the period you paid for.
• Refunds follow Google Play's refund policy. Deleting your account doesn't cancel the subscription.
• If we change Premium prices, we'll tell you in advance, and Google Play will ask for your agreement where the law requires it.

5. Your content and our app

• Your goals, notes and messages stay yours. You let us store and process them only to run the service, as described in the Privacy Policy.
• The app, its design, Foki and the ourfocus name belong to us. You may use the app for your own focus sessions, but not copy, resell or build on it without our permission.

6. Availability and changes

We work to keep ourfocus running, but sessions can be interrupted by network problems, maintenance or partners leaving, and features may change over time. We'll tell you in the app before significant changes to these terms; if you keep using ourfocus after they take effect, you accept the new terms.

7. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in the app (see how deletion works). We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put other users at risk.

8. Liability

ourfocus is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, for the behaviour of other users, or for losses caused by interruptions to the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or takes away rights you have as a consumer where you live.
